My clients in Jamaica Plain wanted a beautiful back yard garden and space to grow food, dine, entertain, and have a small pet run. This tiny space gave me the opportunity to compact the elements of a indoor room in an outdoor setting.
Family Friendly Garden Spaces
The importance of having an family friendly outdoor space linked with nature can not be overstated. This large landscape has a number of areas to play for growing children including a place to run, a quiet corner for discovery, a secret garden, a fairy garden, and a butterfly garden, all sanctuaries where one can escape and use imagination. This landscape is also an extension of the home, as an outside room where one can entertain, dine al fresco, read and admire a view.

Secluded Urban Garden
After relocating from a large Wellesley home into this 1500 square foot Dedham townhouse built in 1820, our client wished to transform the remaining 1500 square feet of land into a lush intimate outdoor dining and entertainment space. As an avid gardener she was also looking to expand as much of the remaining areas into a gardening haven.

Backyard Design for New Construction
This new construction suburban home in Needham was completely transformed from a dirt plot to a beautiful garden space. Each element of the property was examined and brought together with a consistent landscape plan. The client had specific needs including a child play space, a vegetable garden, a large shed for storage, lawn for play, a dining patio, a holiday tree for lighting, privacy screens, and a bird garden. The project included extensive work on the back yard.
